Lloyd started out as a journalist until his magazine went bankrupt. He then tried working for the Canadian Government only to learn to hate bureaucracy and stay afloat by using his humour. His next venture was to pursue a dream of owning a cattle ranch, where there he could find peace and a chance to work on his art and poetry. As he searched the World---Australia, Mexico, Western Canada, Singapore, he noted the irony all around him. In Australia he finally realized that he'd starve as a rancher and that no matter were he went or what he did, he would continue to butt heads with bureaucrats. Finally, Lloyd came in for a landing in Toronto to start "The Palette Art Gallery" and author two books entitled: "Verses and Vices" and "That Elusive Ranch".
